Now that you've applied, let us guide you through the enrollment steps to start earning college credit toward a degree, certificate or transfer.
Before you can enroll, you may need to submit official documents to CCBC. Depending on your background, this could include a high school transcript, GED scores or college transcripts.
You can submit documents online, by mail or in person at any Enrollment Services Center.
Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to determine your eligibility for federal, state and CCBC financial aid programs. CCBC's school code: 002063.
The FAFSA is available October 1 for the following year and can be submitted throughout the year. For priority consideration for Maryland state scholarships and grants, submit your FAFSA before March 1.
Once accepted, you'll receive an email with your CCBC ID number — a 10-digit number starting with "90." Keep it handy, as you'll need it when contacting most departments for assistance or appointments.
CCBC may assess your math and English skills to make sure you're placed in the right courses. Most first-time degree and certificate students need to complete at least one placement test, but requirements vary. Find out if testing applies to you before meeting with your advisor.

Once you've met with your advisor and selected your courses, you're ready to register online or in person at any Enrollment Services Center. For your first semester, we recommend enrolling in English and/or math to build a strong foundation for future coursework.
Before your payment due date, confirm available financial aid, VA educational benefits, employer support or other tuition assistance. Submit any related verification documents to the Financial Aid office beforehand.
Check your student email for an invitation to orientation — available on campus or online. It's a great opportunity to meet other new students, explore campus resources and get ready for your first semester.
